High-octane skate punk with relentless tempos and sharp melodic hooks. It is the sound of Gainesville basement shows and high-speed highway drives.
Rehasher is a masterclass in the 'fast melodic' school of punk rock, where the drums rarely drop below a sprint and the guitars provide a thick, saturated wall of sound. It feels like the spiritual successor to the 90s Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords era, but with a distinct Florida grit that favors raw energy over glossy radio polish. The music is perpetually leaning forward, driven by hyper-active snare work and bass lines that refuse to just sit on the root note.
What truly sets them apart is the pedigree of the songwriting. While many skate punk bands get lost in the speed, Rehasher maintains a keen sense of melody and vocal harmony that betrays the members' experience in more pop-oriented ska-punk outfits. It is music made by lifers for lifers, stripped of pretension and focused entirely on the catharsis of a two-minute blast of noise. The production is punchy and loud, capturing the feeling of a band playing in a room together with zero room for error.
Start with 'Off Key Melodies' to hear the foundational energy of the Gainesville scene, or jump into 'Eat the One Percent' for a more modern, aggressive take on their signature sound. It is the perfect soundtrack for any moment that requires high-velocity motivation or a loud, melodic middle finger to the status quo.
