Formed in Los Angeles in 1969, the American rock band Redbone was established by brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas. The group, comprised of Chicano and Native American musicians, gained prominence for incorporating their heritage into their music and aesthetic. In 1974, they achieved a significant milestone as the first Native American band to earn a gold record with their hit single, Come and Get Your Love, which peaked at number five.
