Aggressive electronic pulses meet punk-rock grit. A high-energy collision of industrial beats and melodic hooks for dark dancefloors and late-night city streets.
Rabia Sorda is the solo outlet for Erk Aicrag, better known as the vocalist for the seminal Mexican aggrotech duo Hocico. Founded in 2003, the project serves as a creative release for Aicrag's more melodic and personal inclinations, moving away from the pure sonic terror of Hocico toward a sound that blends EBM, industrial rock, and synth-pop.
The project's name, meaning 'Deaf Rage,' encapsulates its core identity: an internal, focused aggression that is channeled into rhythmic structures. Throughout its discography, Rabia Sorda has evolved from the harsh electro-industrial of 'Metodos Del Caos' to the more organic, guitar-inflected sounds of 'Animales Salvajes' and 'Destruye.' The music is characterized by its high-tempo sequences, distorted yet emotive vocals, and a 'punky' attitude that prioritizes energy over technical perfection. Critically, the project is viewed as a bridge between the harsh Mexican 'hard elektro' scene and the broader European darkwave and industrial movements, maintaining a loyal cult following in both regions.
