Poncho

Poncho is an Argentine electronic supergroup formed in 2009, consisting of Javier Zuker, Leandro Lopatín, and Fabián Picciano. The project emerged as a pivotal bridge between the country's vibrant rock scene and its growing electronic underground.

Zuker, a renowned DJ and bassist, brought a crate-digger's sensibility to the group, while Lopatín (of Turf) provided a pop-rock melodic foundation. Their debut, 'Ponchototal', was produced by Justin Robertson, signaling their international ambitions and alignment with the global indie-dance movement. Their sound is heavily influenced by the 'French Touch' (Daft Punk, Cassius) and the synth-heavy pop of the 1980s, filtered through a modern, high-fidelity lens.
