Parni Valjak is a cornerstone of Croatian and former Yugoslav rock, formed in Zagreb in 1975. Led by the songwriting of Husein Hasanefendić and the iconic vocals of Aki Rahimovski, the band evolved from early boogie-rock and hard rock into a sophisticated mainstream rock entity.
They were pivotal in the transition from the 1970s rock scene to the New Wave (Novi Val) era, particularly with their 1980 album 'Vruće igre'.
