Formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2008, Parachute is an American pop rock band. The group gained early recognition through Mercury Records, releasing three studio albums between 2009 and 2013. They later transitioned to Vanguard Records for their 2016 project, Wide Awake. Continuing their musical evolution, the band independently produced and released their self-titled fifth studio album in 2019, marking over a decade of consistent output within the pop rock genre.
