Odd Eye Circle is a prominent sub-unit of the South Korean girl group LOONA, now operating under the ARTMS project at Modhaus. Formed in 2017 by creative director Jaden Jeong, the trio (Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry) was instrumental in establishing the 'LOONAverse' lore, but more importantly, they defined a specific sonic identity for the group: 'Girl Front' and 'Sweet Crazy Love' moved away from the bubblegum tropes of the era toward a sophisticated blend of synth-pop, dream-pop, and R&B.
Their sound identity is built on high-gloss production, often featuring complex synth work and a focus on 'cool' rather than 'cute' aesthetics. After a highly publicized legal battle with their former agency, the trio's 2023 return with the EP <Version Up> solidified their status as cult icons of the genre, maintaining their signature atmospheric sound while incorporating more mature, house-influenced textures. Critically, they are praised for their cohesive discography and for bridging the gap between mainstream K-pop and indie-electronic sensibilities.
