Formed in 1994 by John Hampson and Brian Desveaux, Nine Days is an American alternative and pop rock band originating from Long Island, New York. After recording three independent albums throughout the 1990s, the group signed with Sony Music and 550 Music. They achieved mainstream success in 2000 with the release of their debut studio album, The Madding Crowd, which featured their popular hit single, Absolutely (Story of a Girl).
