Kinetic alternative rock driven by virtuosic, syncopated drumming and warm analog synths. Soulful vocals meet restless, high-fidelity grooves for focused energy.
Founded in New Orleans in 2003, the American alternative rock project Mutemath is led by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Paul Meany. Signed to Warner Bros. Records, the project blends elements of psychedelic rock, soul, and jam band music. Meany crafts this distinct sound by integrating vintage guitars and amplifiers with electronic equipment, including synthesizers, Rhodes keyboards, and the keytar. Following the departure of his original co-founder, Meany continues the project as a solo endeavor.
