Mount Sims

Mount Sims is the primary creative vehicle for Matthew Sims, an artist whose career trajectory represents a fascinating shift from mainstream alternative rock (as a member of Citizen King) to the vanguard of the European electronic underground. Based in Berlin, Sims emerged as a pivotal figure in the electroclash scene of the early 2000s, signing with DJ Hell's influential International DeeJay Gigolo Records.

His debut, 'Ultrasex', defined the era's fascination with technology, sexuality, and retro-futurism, utilizing minimalist synth arrangements and provocative lyricism. As the scene evolved, Sims moved toward a more complex, darkwave-influenced sound, collaborating with figures like David J (Bauhaus) and Thomas Stern.
