Formed in the United Kingdom in 2011, Modestep is an electronic rock and dubstep project currently helmed by producer and DJ Josh Friend. Originally established as a band, the act transitioned into a solo venture following personnel changes in 2022. Since releasing their 2013 debut album Evolution Theory on Polydor, the project has maintained a consistent output through various studio albums, EPs, and singles released across multiple independent record labels.
