Midnight sounds like the exact midpoint between a crust punk basement show and a first-wave black metal ritual. It is music that feels dangerous, unwashed, and completely unconcerned with modern production standards. The guitars are thin and biting, the bass is a distorted roar, and the drums maintain a relentless d-beat or gallop that never lets up. It captures the specific moment in the early 80s when the lines between Venom, Motörhead, and Discharge were still blurred.

What makes Midnight distinctive is the singular vision of Athenar, who handles all instruments in the studio. This creates a cohesive, primitive energy that many full bands struggle to replicate.
