Mason Durell Betha, professionally known as Mase, is an American rapper associated with hip-hop, East Coast hip-hop, and Christian hip-hop. Signing with Bad Boy Records in 1996, he achieved significant mainstream success during the late 1990s. His debut album, Harlem World, reached the top of the Billboard 200 and earned quadruple platinum status. Mase also secured multiple top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100 as both a lead and featured artist.
