Intro

Lita Ford delivers a masterclass in high-voltage hard rock, where razor-sharp guitar riffs meet anthemic, hook-heavy choruses. Her music is defined by its uncompromising energy, blending the raw, street-level grit of the late-70s punk and rock scenes with the massive, polished production of late-80s arena metal. Every track feels supercharged, driven by thunderous rhythm sections and her own virtuosic, screaming guitar solos.

What truly sets her apart is her dual threat as a world-class lead guitarist and a commanding vocalist. She navigates the transition from aggressive, fast-paced metal anthems to emotionally charged power ballads with ease, utilizing a signature raspy delivery that cuts through dense walls of distorted guitars and gated-reverb drums. Her sound is the sonic equivalent of black leather, neon lights, and high-speed highway drives.

To experience her at her absolute peak, dive into her self-titled 1988 album, Lita. It perfectly captures the intersection of heavy metal muscle and pop-metal accessibility, featuring her most iconic solo work and unforgettable, soaring hooks that defined an entire era of rock radio.

Lita Rossana Ford (born September 19, 1958) is an American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. She was the lead guitarist for the all-female rock band the Runaways in the late 1970s, and then embarked on a successful glam metal solo career that hit its peak in the late 1980s. The 1989 single "Close My Eyes Forever", a duet with Ozzy Osbourne, remains Ford's most successful song, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
