Sharp, crystalline synth-pop defined by piercing falsetto and brittle 80s textures. It is the sound of neon-lit defiance and late-night urban romanticism.
Formed in London in 2008, the British synth-pop act La Roux began as a duo featuring Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid. Following the massive success of their Grammy-winning self-titled debut, internal conflicts led to Langmaid's 2012 departure. Jackson continued the project as a solo endeavor, releasing the albums Trouble in Paradise and the independently produced Supervision. Throughout her career, Jackson has navigated label shifts and evolving creative directions.
