Intro

Krokus delivers a masterclass in high-octane, no-nonsense hard rock that feels like it was forged in a 1980s arena. Their sound is defined by a heavy, driving rhythm section and twin-guitar assaults that bridge the gap between classic blues-rock and the more aggressive edge of early heavy metal. It is music built for movement, volume, and a certain kind of defiant joy.

What truly sets them apart is the vocal performance of Marc Storace, whose raspy, high-register delivery famously channels the spirit of Bon Scott-era AC/DC while maintaining a distinct power. The production often favors a punchy, mid-forward mix that highlights the mechanical precision of their riffs, making every track feel like a well-oiled machine designed for maximum impact.

Start with the 1983 classic Headhunter. It captures the band at their commercial and creative peak, featuring their most iconic riffs and the kind of stadium-ready production that defined the decade's heavy music landscape.

Krokus is a Swiss hard rock band formed in 1975. They were popular in North America during the 1980s. The band was founded in Solothurn in 1975 by Chris von Rohr (vocals and multi-instruments) and Tommy Kiefer (guitar), both former members of Kaktus. Former TEA vocalist Marc Storace joined the band as frontman in time for their Metal Rendez-vous album in 1980.
