KATYA

High-octane electronic pop fueled by absurdist humor and Russian-inspired camp. It is a neon-lit, chaotic dance floor for the weird and the glamorous.

Intro

Katya's music is a dizzying collision of Euro-trash dance beats, industrial grit, and high-concept comedy. It sounds like a 3:00 AM rave in a Cold War bunker that has been redecorated by a high-fashion house. The production is sharp, digital, and unashamedly loud, often utilizing heavy synths and aggressive drum machines that demand movement while your brain tries to process the surreal lyrical imagery.

What truly sets her apart is the commitment to the bit. Unlike standard pop, her tracks are peppered with deadpan spoken word, Russian phrases, and non-sequiturs that subvert the listener's expectations of a typical dance track. It is music that understands the history of the club while simultaneously poking fun at its excesses, creating a space that is both deeply cool and intentionally ridiculous.

Start with the 'Vampire Fitness' EP. It serves as the perfect manifesto for her sound, blending high-energy club tracks like 'Ding Dong!' with more atmospheric, strange moments. It is the ideal entry point for anyone who wants their pop music to come with a side of existential dread and a very sharp wig.
