Kan Wakan

Kan Wakan is the brainchild of Bulgarian-born, Los Angeles-based composer and producer Gueorgui Linev. Originally conceived as an instrumental project inspired by classical minimalism and film scoring, it evolved into a collaborative collective that bridges the gap between trip-hop, psychedelic rock, and chamber pop.

Their sound identity is characterized by high-fidelity production, lush orchestral layering, and a 'noir' aesthetic that draws heavily from the Bristol sound (Massive Attack, Portishead) while maintaining a distinctly Californian psychedelic edge. Linev's background in film scoring is evident in the music's narrative structure and atmospheric depth.
