Jetone is the early-career alias of Canadian sound artist Tim Hecker, active primarily between 2000 and 2006. While Hecker later became synonymous with dense, distorted ambient drones, Jetone represents his exploration of the 'clicks and cuts' aesthetic and minimal techno.
The project is characterized by its use of micro-sampling, glitch-based percussion, and deep dub-influenced basslines.
