Sun-drenched progressive house with a pianist's touch. Polished, melodic, and perfectly paced for golden hour drives or focused late-night sessions.
Jaytech creates music that feels like the exact moment a vacation begins. It is high-fidelity electronic music that trades the dark, sweaty basement for open-air terraces and coastal highways. His sound is defined by a bright, optimistic energy that manages to be club-ready without ever feeling aggressive or abrasive. It is the sonic equivalent of a lens flare: warm, radiant, and impeccably clear.
What sets him apart is his background as a trained pianist. While many progressive producers rely on repetitive loops, Jaytech builds his tracks around sophisticated melodic arcs and harmonic progressions that feel purposeful. There is a specific 'sunny' quality to his synth patches and a rhythmic bounce that bridges the gap between the deep, hypnotic world of house and the soaring emotional peaks of trance.
For those new to his catalog, 'Everything Is OK' is the essential starting point. It captures the definitive Anjunadeep sound of the late 2000s: lush, melodic, and incredibly smooth. If you are looking for something more recent, his 'Feel Free' EP showcases how he has refined his production to be even sleeker and more punchy while maintaining that core melodic DNA.
James Cayzer (born 1985), better known by his stage name Jaytech (not to be confused with YouTuber Jaytech) is an Australian electronic music producer, DJ, and a trained pianist. Jaytech started producing at the age of 14, and released his first track at 16. In 2006, a remix of his track Genesis (Jimbo's Afterburner Mix) was included by Tiësto on his In Search of Sunrise 5: Los Angeles compilation. His first artist album Everything is OK was released in 2008, on Anjunadeep. It was also the first album released on that label. His and James Grant's compilations "Anjunadeep 02" and "Anjunadeep 03" reached Number 1 in the iTunes dance chart. Mixmag called the former "the compilation of the month". Jaytech has collaborated with artists including Steve Smith (house music vocalist), and electronic music producers such Soundprank, Tommy Murphy, and Matt Fax with their track "Aeris" described as "a truly captivating record that transcends genres" by Mixmag. He currently resides in Phoenix.
