Unlike many of their peers who stayed within the confines of 'aggrotech,' ISC embraced a more cinematic approach, incorporating female vocals and acoustic elements like guitars and strings during their middle period. This evolution allowed them to maintain relevance across three decades, influencing the 'dark electro' aesthetic by proving that industrial music could be both aggressive and beautiful.
