Formed in Montreal in 1994, Godspeed You! Black Emperor is a Canadian post-rock collective currently featuring Efrim Menuck, Mauro Pezzente, Mike Moya, Sophie Trudeau, Thierry Amar, and David Bryant. The group releases music through the independent label Constellation. Since their 1997 debut, the ensemble has achieved significant critical acclaim, including a 2013 Polaris Music Prize for their post-reunion album 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! following a seven-year hiatus.
