Warm analog synths and breathy, detached vocals that feel like a fashion film shot on grainy 16mm. Italo disco for the stylishly lonely.
Formed in Portland in 1996, the American electronic duo Glass Candy consists of vocalist Ida No and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel. Initially exploring no wave and art punk, the group shifted toward synth-pop and Italo disco throughout their career. Associated with the Italians Do It Better label, they released several projects including the 2008 compilation Deep Gems and the 2010 EP Feeling Without Touching before entering an indefinite hiatus.
