Giraffage

Shimmering, neon-lit electronic pop built from chopped R&B samples and vaporous synths. A nostalgic, late-night soundtrack for digital dreamers.

Intro

Giraffage creates a sound that feels like a warm, digital embrace. It is the sonic equivalent of a neon-soaked city at 3 AM, where the air is thick with nostalgia and the glow of a smartphone screen. His music relies heavily on the art of the sample, specifically taking the soulful DNA of 90s and 2000s R&B and stretching it into something ethereal, bubbly, and distinctly modern. It is 'bedroom pop' in its most polished, electronic form.

What truly sets Charlie Yin apart is his surgical precision with vocal manipulation. He doesn't just use vocals as a lead; he treats them as a rhythmic and melodic texture, chopping and pitching them until they become unrecognizable yet deeply emotive instruments. The percussion often carries a slight glitchy edge, providing a crisp counterpoint to the lush, reverb-drenched synth pads that define his atmospheric 'dream pop' aesthetic.

For those new to his catalog, 'Needs' is the essential starting point for his sample-heavy, soulful roots, while 'Too Real' offers a more hi-fi, synth-driven evolution. It is music for the moments when you want to feel a specific kind of happy-sad, or when you need a soundtrack that feels as cozy as a favorite hoodie but as sleek as a new piece of hardware.
