Formed in St Albans in 2006, Friendly Fires are a British band rooted in punk and indie rock. The group gained significant recognition following the 2008 release of their self-titled debut album. This record earned critical acclaim, ultimately securing a spot on the 2009 Mercury Prize shortlist. Throughout their career, the ensemble has maintained a notable presence in the music industry, previously recording with XL Recordings.
