Formed in Detroit in 1954, the Four Tops became a cornerstone of the Motown sound. This American vocal group, featuring Levi Stubbs, Abdul Fakir, Renaldo Benson, and Lawrence Payton, achieved massive commercial success blending soul, rhythm and blues, and pop. Throughout their enduring career, they recorded for labels including Motown and Chess, earning induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and receiving a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for their contributions.
