Formed in Los Angeles in 2009, Foster the People is an American alternative rock and indie pop band. Founded by frontman Mark Foster and featuring keyboardist Isom Innis, the group rose to prominence following the viral success of their 2010 single Pumped Up Kicks. Signed to Columbia Records and Startime International, the band earned three Grammy nominations for their debut album Torches, which produced multiple hit singles and established their presence in the industry.
