Fizzarum

Fizzarum is a Russian electronic trio formed in St. Petersburg in 1996, consisting of Dmitry Dubov, Sergey Tkach, and Alexander Korablin.

They emerged during the late 90s IDM boom, quickly gaining international recognition through prestigious labels like City Centre Offices and Toytronic. Their sound identity is characterized by a 'pastoral IDM' aesthetic, which blends the clinical precision of glitch and DSP-heavy production with melodic sensibilities reminiscent of folk or neoclassical music. This duality allowed them to stand out in a scene often dominated by either harsh abstraction or purely ambient drift. Their career arc saw them peak in the early 2000s with seminal releases like 'Monochrome Plural', which solidified their reputation for high-fidelity, intricate sound design.
