Intro

Finesse2tymes brings a physical presence to the mic that few of his contemporaries can match. His voice is a blunt force instrument, thick with the gravel of Memphis streets and the hard-won wisdom of someone who has seen the inside of a cell. The production is classic Tennessee trap: rattling hi-hats, ominous minor-key piano loops, and 808s that don't just play, they thud against your chest.

What sets him apart is the sheer conviction of his delivery. He doesn't just rap; he commands the track with a motivational energy that feels like a locker room speech delivered in a dark alley. There is a relentless forward momentum to his flow, often eschewing complex wordplay for maximum impact and emotional resonance, focusing on themes of redemption, hustle, and the 'back end' of success.

Start with the 2022 mixtape 90 Days. It captures the raw hunger of his post-release era and contains his breakout hits. It is the definitive document of his sound, balancing aggressive street reporting with the kind of charismatic, larger-than-life personality that makes him a standout in the crowded Southern rap landscape.

Ricky Hampton (born June 10, 1992), known professionally as Finesse2tymes, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He is best known for his 2022 single "Back End," which entered the Billboard Hot 100. He is noted for his "thunderous voice" and motivational statements in his songs. He signed with Atlantic Records a joint venture with Moneybagg Yo's label Bread Gang and J. Prince's Mob Ties Records to release his debut commercial mixtape, 90 Days in December of that year. His debut studio album, Art of War (2024), failed to chart.
