Formed in Austin, Texas, in 1999, Explosions in the Sky is an American post-rock quartet. The group consists of drummer Chris Hrasky alongside guitarists and keyboardists Michael James, Munaf Rayani, and Mark Smith. Known for their instrumental compositions, the band has released eight studio albums, including their 2023 record, End. They currently release their music through the label Temporary Residence Limited.
