Polished 2000s pop and R&B with a digital-first soul. Empowering anthems and shimmering synths for high-energy commutes and confidence-boosting playlists.
Esmée Denters delivers a specific brand of high-gloss pop that feels like the bridge between the analog star system and the digital creator era. Her sound is defined by a powerful, melismatic vocal delivery that carries the weight of contemporary R&B while being wrapped in the shimmering, staccato production of late-2000s electropop. It is music that feels both aspirational and accessible, rooted in the intimacy of her YouTube origins but scaled for European arenas.
What sets her apart is the technical precision of her singing, a byproduct of her early days covering vocal powerhouses like Beyoncé and Alicia Keys. This results in tracks that are rhythmically tight and vocally demanding, often featuring complex layering and harmonized hooks that demand the listener's attention. Even in her later independent work, she maintains a commitment to that polished, soulful pop aesthetic, blending electronic textures with a resilient, independent spirit.
Start with her debut album 'Outta Here' to experience the peak of the Tennman Records era production. The title track and 'Love Dealer' showcase the high-energy, Justin Timberlake-influenced sound that defined her breakthrough, while her later EPs like 'These Days' offer a more mature, slightly more organic take on her signature R&B-pop fusion.
