Intro

Energy delivers a high-voltage blend of dance-pop and R&B that defined the 'boy band' aesthetic of Taiwan in the early 2000s. Their sound is characterized by aggressive synth lines, synchronized vocal harmonies, and a relentless rhythmic drive that demands movement. It is music built for the stage, designed to accompany complex choreography and high-production music videos.

What sets them apart is the seamless integration of rap verses within a pop framework, a hallmark of their era that they executed with more 'edge' than their softer contemporaries. Their recent comeback has updated this sound with modern digital clarity, but they retain the core spirit of group unity and anthemic, shout-along choruses that made them household names.

Start with their 2024 hit 'Friday Night' to hear their evolved, mature sound, then dive back into 'E3' or 'Come On' to experience the raw, youthful intensity that established them as the 'most lethal' dance group in Mandopop history.

Energy is a Taiwanese boy band formed in 2002. The original band consisted of five members, Milk, Edy, Toro, Kunda and Shuwei. Toro and Milk originally left the band in 2003 and 2005 respectively. Xiao Gang joined the band in mid-2007 before the band announced its hiatus in 2009. On January 2, 2024, B'in Music announced that they have signed the band and Energy will be making a return to the music scene with its original members. They released the single "Friday Night" in July of the same year, which was ranked the number one song of 2024 by Taiwanese radio station Hit FM.
