Formed in Los Angeles in 2003, the American post-rock duo El Ten Eleven takes its name from the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar airliner. The pair crafts their sound by layering fretless bass and doubleneck guitar loops over dynamic drumming. With ten full-length albums released, the group has gained recognition for their contributions to the soundtracks of Gary Hustwit’s design documentaries, including Helvetica, Objectified, and Urbanized.
