Intro

Edvin Marton creates music that feels like a victory lap. It is the sound of high-stakes drama, blending the technical precision of a Tchaikovsky-trained prodigy with the thumping heart of a modern dance floor. The violin is never just an accompaniment; it is a lead singer, soaring over lush orchestral arrangements and sharp, driving electronic beats. It is bright, polished, and unapologetically grand.

What sets Marton apart is his ability to translate classical complexity into something that feels physically active. His work is defined by a sense of momentum, often utilizing staccato rhythms and soaring crescendos that demand movement. There is a reason he is the go-to composer for Olympic figure skaters: his music provides the emotional peaks and rhythmic cues necessary for world-class athleticism.

Start with the album Stradivarius to hear the core of his sound: the legendary 1697 instrument meeting 21st-century production. It is the perfect entry point for anyone who wants their classical music to feel like an action movie score or a stadium anthem.

Edvin Marton (born Lajos Edvin Csűry, 17 February 1974, Vylok, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian-born Hungarian composer and violinist. He became known as the violinist of the skaters, mainly because Evgeni Plushenko, Stéphane Lambiel, Yuzuru Hanyu (as a tribute to Plushenko), and other famous skaters often skated to his music.
