Formed in 1992 in Fulda, Germany, Edguy is a power metal band consisting of Tobias Sammet, Jens Ludwig, Dirk Sauer, Tobias Exxel, and Felix Bohnke. Throughout their career, the group has released numerous studio albums under labels like AFM Records and Nuclear Blast. While the band has engaged in extensive international touring, they entered a hiatus in 2020 as Sammet shifted his creative focus toward his metal opera project, Avantasia.
