Their sound is defined by Fred Drake's unique analog production style and the rotating cast of high-profile contributors including Dave Grohl and Victoria Williams. The band's history is inextricably linked to the physical location of Joshua Tree, serving as a sonic document of the isolation and mysticism of the Mojave. Following Drake's death in 2002, the project has continued sporadically under Catching's leadership, maintaining its reputation as a cult favorite among crate diggers and fans of the 'Desert Sessions' era.
