Cinematic, space-faring synthwave that feels like a lost 1982 sci-fi score. Pulsing rhythms and shimmering melodies for late-night exploration.
Dynatron crafts a sound that is less about the 80s as they were and more about the 80s as they imagined the future. It is grand, sweeping, and deeply cinematic, favoring wide-screen atmospheres over the aggressive grit of darksynth peers. The music feels like it was composed in a cockpit, looking out at a nebula through a scratched acrylic window.
What sets Jeppe Hasseriis apart is his restraint and melodic clarity. While many synthwave artists lean into kitsch, Dynatron maintains a sense of awe and mystery. He uses lush, reverb-soaked pads and soaring lead synths that echo the work of Vangelis or Jean-Michel Jarre, grounding the electronic elements with a warm, analog soul that feels human despite its robotic precision.
Start with the album Escape Velocity. It is the definitive statement of his 'spacesynth' aesthetic, moving from propulsive, driving tracks to ambient drifts that capture the loneliness and majesty of deep space. It is the perfect companion for any activity that requires a sense of forward motion and quiet focus.
