Formed in San Francisco in 2015, the American pop rock band DNCE features Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, and JinJoo Lee. Signed to Republic Records, the group gained prominence with their platinum-certified debut EP, Swaay, and the hit single Cake by the Ocean. Following their 2016 self-titled studio album and a performance in Grease Live!, the band established a notable presence in the dance-pop and funk-pop music scenes before entering a hiatus.
