Gritty Australian indie rock with a heart of gold. Anthemic, beer-soaked choruses and honest storytelling for late nights with lifelong friends.
Dear Seattle sounds like the best night out you can remember, filtered through a slightly hungover morning of reflection. Their music is built on a foundation of thick, fuzzy guitars and driving rhythms that feel distinctly Australian, carrying a sense of sun-drenched suburban grit. The vocals are the centerpiece: a raspy, earnest delivery that frequently breaks into massive, group-shouted choruses designed to be screamed back by a crowd.
What sets them apart is the balance between raw punk energy and melodic indie sensibility. While they have roots in melodic hardcore, they have evolved into a more polished alternative sound that doesn't lose its edge. There is a specific 'mateship' quality to their music, where even the saddest lyrics about self-doubt or lost love feel like they are being shared over a drink in a crowded pub.
Start with their self-titled EP or 'Don't Let Go' to hear them at their most anthemic. It is music for anyone who finds comfort in loud guitars and lyrics that say exactly what they mean without any pretension. It is the sound of growing up, messing up, and showing up for your friends anyway.
