Sprightly, minimalist indie pop built on brittle guitar riffs and dry drum machines. Whimsical melodies for dancing in your bedroom or walking through a sunny city.
Formed in New York City in 2009, the indie folk project Darwin Deez is led by musician Darwin Merwan Smith. Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and a former Wesleyan University student, Smith previously played guitar for the band Creaky Boards. Currently based in Brooklyn, the artist releases his music through the independent label Lucky Number Music, establishing a distinct presence within the American indie scene.
