Formed in Gothenburg in 1989, Dark Tranquillity is a foundational group in the Swedish melodic death metal scene. Throughout their career, the band has released music through labels including Century Media, Spinefarm, and Osmose Productions. While the group experienced significant lineup transitions between 2015 and 2021, vocalist Mikael Stanne remains a core presence. Today, the ensemble continues to perform and record with a revised roster of dedicated musicians.
