Formed in Toronto in 1985, the Canadian alternative rock group Cowboy Junkies features siblings Margo, Michael, and Peter Timmins alongside bassist Alan Anton. The quartet has maintained a consistent lineup since its inception. The band debuted in 1986 with the blues-influenced album Whites Off Earth Now!!, which was recorded in a family garage. Throughout their career, the ensemble has frequently collaborated with various guest musicians, including multi-instrumentalist Jeff Bird, while signed to RCA.
