Conquest

Conquest is a prominent Ukrainian power metal entity founded in 1996 by guitarist W. Angel.

Originally conceived as a hard rock project influenced by the melodic sensibilities of Def Leppard, the band underwent a significant stylistic evolution toward Euro-power metal following their 1998 debut. This shift integrated high-speed 'speed metal' tempos with neoclassical guitar techniques and Slavonic folk melodic structures, a combination that solidified their status in the Eastern European metal scene. Their discography, notably 'Endless Power' and 'Frozen Sky', showcases a dense production style with layered vocal harmonies and prominent keyboard arrangements. Culturally, they served as a bridge for the Ukrainian scene, frequently performing with international heavyweights like Sabaton and Rage.
