Barefoot

Barefoot is a collaborative project primarily featuring vocalist Sam Obernik and producer Tommy D. The project emerged in the mid-2000s with a specific conceptual focus: the 'acousticization' of iconic electronic dance music.

Obernik, already established in the house music scene through her work with Tim Deluxe, provides a vocal identity that is both sultry and understated, moving away from the 'diva' tropes of house toward a more nuanced, jazz-adjacent delivery.
