Intro

Ayasa delivers a sound that is fundamentally electric, even when it is acoustic. Her violin does not just play melodies; it shreds, soaring over driving rock rhythms and lush electronic textures with the precision of a classical prodigy and the attitude of a rock star. The music feels like a constant upward climb, filled with bright, crystalline tones and a sense of urgent, heroic momentum.

What sets her apart is the way she bridges the gap between traditional conservatory technique and the hyper-saturated world of modern Japanese pop culture. Her arrangements often mirror the structure of anime themes, utilizing dramatic key changes and soaring choruses where the violin takes the place of a powerhouse vocalist. It is maximalist, polished, and unapologetically dramatic.

Start with the 'CHRONICLE' series to hear her original compositions, which showcase her ability to blend symphonic elements with contemporary electronic beats. If you are a fan of media soundtracks, her 'ANISONG COVER NIGHT' volumes offer a masterclass in how to reinterpret familiar melodies with technical flair and emotional weight.

Ayasa Shimamura (Japanese: 島村絢沙, Hepburn: Shimamura Ayasa; born 19 October 1991), known professionally by the mononym Ayasa, is a Japanese rock musician and voice actress. She is the violinist for the band Morfonica of the BanG Dream! multimedia franchise, which includes portraying the character Rui Yashio. In addition, she posts YouTube videos where she plays violin covers of anime songs while wearing cosplay and has released several albums with the record label Dreamusic.
