Intro

Annika Wells creates a sonic space that feels simultaneously like a massive main-stage festival moment and a quiet conversation in a parked car. Her music is defined by a high-gloss electronic sheen that never manages to hide the raw, often jagged emotional honesty underneath. It is pop music that isn't afraid to be messy, centering on the anxieties of early adulthood and the friction of modern relationships.

What sets her apart is the specific proximity of her vocals. She sings with a breathy, close-mic intimacy that makes every lyric feel like it was pulled directly from a private note on her phone. This vulnerability is contrasted against sophisticated, sub-bass heavy production that draws from her background as a top-tier songwriter for global EDM and pop acts.

Start with 'Fuck Being Sober' to hear her ability to turn self-destructive impulses into an infectious anthem. From there, move into 'Eat Dirt' to experience the more experimental, textured side of her sound. It is the perfect soundtrack for anyone who likes their pop music with a side of existential crisis and a very expensive-sounding bassline.
