High-energy French pop rap that moves between club-ready beats and vulnerable queer storytelling. Intense, rhythmic, and physically expressive.
Aloïse Sauvage creates music that feels like a physical release. It is rooted in the sharp, rhythmic delivery of French rap but constantly spills over into the shimmering textures of modern electropop. Her tracks often feature heavy, driving basslines and crisp digital percussion that demand movement, yet there is a persistent thread of emotional honesty that keeps the sound grounded. It is music that sounds like a city at night: bright, fast, and occasionally lonely.
What truly sets her apart is her multidisciplinary background. As a dancer and circus performer, her music has a unique spatial awareness; you can hear the athleticism in her breath and the way she structures her verses. She uses her voice as a versatile tool, shifting from rapid-fire bars to melodic, auto-tuned hooks that capture the fluid nature of her identity. Her lyrics are unapologetically political and personal, tackling queer love and social deconstruction with a directness that feels both urgent and refreshing.
Start with her debut album Dévorantes to hear the full breadth of her sound. It perfectly captures her ability to make pain dance, blending Afro-trap influences with poetic, French-language storytelling. It is the ideal entry point for anyone who wants pop music with a sharp edge and a deep soul.
