Volume 3

Released in August 2023, Volume 3 continues the numerical EP series that launched Pink Sweat$ into the spotlight. Following the more polished production found on his full-length projects, this EP represents a return to the hyper-minimalist roots of Volume 1. The project is almost entirely centered on the interplay between his signature falsetto and acoustic instrumentation. Recorded with a focus on 'dry' production, the vocals are placed extremely forward in the mix, creating a sense of physical proximity to the listener. Critically, the EP was noted for its consistency and its refusal to chase radio trends, instead leaning into a timeless 'acoustic soul' aesthetic. It serves as a bridge between the singer-songwriter tradition and modern R&B, stripping away the genre's typical artifice to focus on core songwriting and melodic purity. The track 'Gina' stands out as a particularly narrative-driven moment, while 'Guitar' serves as a meta-commentary on his primary musical tool.
