Tttrial and Eror

Released in 2002 on the influential Shitkatapult label, Tttrial and Eror represents Sascha Ring's (Apparat) deep dive into the glitch and IDM movements. Coming shortly after his debut 'Multifunktionsebene', this EP solidified his reputation as a technician of the highest order. While his later career would pivot toward indie-electronic and cinematic pop, this release is purely focused on the interplay between rhythm and digital decay. The tracks are characterized by complex, non-linear percussion and a heavy use of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to create textures that sound both broken and intentional. It stands as a pivotal bridge between the experimental 'clicks and cuts' era and the more melodic electronica that would follow. Critics often cite this era as Apparat's most 'pure' electronic period, free from the vocal-led structures that would define his later work with Moderat and his solo albums like 'The Devil's Walk'.
