Released in 1982, The Real Deal represents the final studio effort from the classic 3+3 lineup of the Isley Brothers before the younger members (Ernie, Marvin, and Chris Jasper) departed to form Isley-Jasper-Isley. While it didn't achieve the massive commercial heights of 'Go For Your Guns', it remains a critical favorite for its tight arrangements and the sheer power of the title track.
